Sports Medals

Every year we produce thousands of medals, and we have developed extensive technical expertise  to offer you a wide variety of options, combining originality in desigs and materials.

Sports Medals

Diversity in materials used

Medals for sports or mass-market events are generally made of a zinc alloy which allows sophisticated 3D designs, including original cut-outs.

For greater elegance, particularly for medals with institutional purposes, they can be made of stamped brass, with or without enamelling.

Some materials cqn be used to avoid the time and cost of tooling;  medals made of iron or optical glass offer a relevant solution for tight deadlines or quantities too small to bear the cost of tooling. These solutions can be enhanced with additional parts according to your wishes (epoxy domes, metal adds-on, carbon, vinyl, recycled acrylic, digital printing with or without 3D texture).

Wood also offers a relevant solution, particularly for reducing the carbon footprint. Made in our London workshop, these medals are one of the most suitable solutions for locally made medals.

Multiplicity of techniques

In addition to the choice of metal plating, the option of adding colour to the medal can be very significant. You can opt for elegance with colour enamel.

Glass or wood medals, can be enhanced by the addition of UV colour printing as well as, laser engraving or sandblasting techniques.

The choice of ribbon, box & engraving

The medal design can also includes attractive ribbons that will tell part of your story. It can also be a means of keeping the same medal for several years, but giving it a touch of change and modernity by adding a date.

The design may include space for engraving on the reverse of the medal.

Boxes can also be personalised.

Beyond design...

Design & conception are not only crucial in giving the medal its originality, they also play a key role in managing costs: tooling complexity, adapting the design over several years, lowering manufacturing costs and lead times, etc…
The design of the loop through which the ribbon links can be more or less technical depending on the desired finished look.

Together we will identify how to approach the best design and cost.
